Julie Sparrow is a highly experienced physiotherapist who has worked as physiotherapist for Team GB athletes at three Olympic Games (Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and London 2012) and four Commonwealths (Kuala Lumpa 1998, Manchester 2002, Melbourne 2006 and Delhi 2010). As part of an elite team of 'physiotherapy troubleshooters' she played an important role in the London 2012 Olympics and Para Olympics.
Julie has a vast array of experience across a variety of sports having worked at International level on golf, athletics, gymnastics and rowing (waterside in Sydney when Redgrave won his 5th Olympic gold!).
A keen runner herself, Julie has run over 30 marathons with a PB time of 4.16. She is also a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Teesside University, a role she's fulfilled since 2001.
