Algarve Marathon Training Weekends

Our superb training weekends are ideally timed for anybody training for a spring marathon and are designed to give you some great motivation to get you through the damp and grey British winter!  We’ve created an exciting agenda including threshold and hill running, a guided long run, core stability and body conditioning, stretching, a Garmin Workshop and lots more. 

Organised and delivered by our team of Coaches, the camps are designed to cater for ALL abilities and are a perfect opportunity to take your training and performance to a new level. We’ll also have with us a sports therapist, who will be on hand to give expert advice on all areas of injury prevention, as well as individual treatments. You’ll also have the opportunity to have a physiological test with Barbara Yff, our Sports Physiologist. We guarantee that you’ll go home not only having had some great training, but feeling informed, motivated and ready for the challenges ahead.

We’ll be staying at the 4* Stella Maris Apartment hotel which has a swimming pool overlooking the 400m track and fully equipped gym.  Studio apartments have 2 single beds (sleeps 1 or 2 people), a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, TV and a separate marble bathroom.

Prices are per person and include: accommodation on self-catering basis, airport transfers, Welcome Drinks, Team Full Potential technical t-shirt, all coaching and expert advice, all equipment and use of gym, track and cross-country course.  Note: prices do not include your return airfare, any meals at the Stella Maris, individual treatments with sports therapist or physiological test (please contact us for more information and prices about appointments, which can be booked in advance or at the camp if there is still availability).

If you would like to arrive on the Thursday or depart on the Sunday of each weekend, then please let us know and we can make the appropriate arrangements (and advise you of extra costs).  If you are travelling on your own, we can try to find somebody for you to share with, just let us know when you make your booking.

Algarve Spring Training Camps 2009


If you are looking for a great training week with other like-minded runners in the warm Algarve sunshine, then this is exactly the camp for you.  Whatever your ability or experience, our programme has been designed to ensure not only a fantastic training week but also a chance to improve your knowledge under the guidance of our top coaching team:

You’ll have the chance to work with all our Coaches to experience a variety of training sessions, have the opportunity to discuss your own personal training plans and join in seminars and discussion groups.  The agenda will include: a range of great training sessions tailored to YOUR needs, such as: threshold and hill running, a guided long run, core stability and body conditioning, stretching, Garmin Workshops, heart rate for performance, nutrition for endurance and lots more… There are miles of beautiful sandy beaches only 5 minutes walk away and there’s plenty of time for sunbathing, swimming and relaxing as well as joining in some fun and games like beach volleyball or softball.

We’ll also have with us a sports therapist, who will be on hand to give expert advice on all areas of injury prevention, as well as individual treatments. You’ll also have the opportunity to have a physiological test with Barbara Yff, our Sports Physiologist.

Please contact us for room options and prices, however you can stay in Studio apartments (which have 2 single beds, sleep 1 or 2), 1-bed apartments (which have a separate bedroom with 2 single beds, sleep 2 or 3) or a 2-bed apartment (which have 2 separate bedrooms each with 2 single beds, sleeps 4).  Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, TV and a separate marble bathroom.
