Run the Florence Marathon with the Full Potential team….
After our hugely successful trip to Florence in November 2009, why not join us to run the marathon in 2010 .... the course is flat and, as our runners have found out, it's got superb PB potential. It's also one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world.
The marathon course is fast and flat and winds through the heart of the city amongst the amazing historical monuments and sights, finishing on the red carpet at the Piazza Santa Croce.
WHY RUN THE FLORENCE MARATHON?
- It’s fast and flat (fastest times: male 2:08.41/female 2:28.15)
- The cool November weather (10º-15 º) really does help you achieve your race time and goal
- It’s a great course with and a great atmosphere

With its wonderful views over the River Arno and Tuscan hills, we will be staying at the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo, which is ideally situated within walking distance of the city centre and is near to many of the city’s historical monuments and sights, including the beautiful Piazza Santa Croce, Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio.
This is the elite athlete hotel and it’s just 2 mins walk to the shuttle bus point to get to the marathon start and only a 10 mins walk from the finish line.
The rooms are large with all modern comforts and there are 3 excellent in-house restaurants and an American Bar.
Our aim at Full Potential, with anything we organise, is to make it a fantastic experience and not just another race or event. All you need to do is turn up and run... we'll take care of everything else!
Here's a few comments from some of the runners who joined us in 2009:
Judith Mitchell: "I'd like to say a huge 'thank you' to the Full Potential team for such a lovely weekend. Everything from my perspective was effortless and so well organised, there was nothing for me to worry about, and this was all down to your attention to detail and organisational skills. I also met so many great people."
Chris Somerfield: "Thank you for such a memorable weekend. I really feel part of the Full Potential family and I am looking forward to many more weekends and running experiences for many years to come."
Amanda Benstead: "
I had such a great time; I am still on a high. I now have a queue of friends who are doing London looking for tips so I will point them in your direction, your weekend courses would be ideal preparation."
Catriona Archer: "Thanks for everything. We all had a great time and your organisation was second to none as usual. I have a lot to thank you for."
And there were many more great comments.....
