Sam Ayers
Sam is passionate about encouraging people to be the best they can and enjoying life as a result. She loves to see people achieve things they never thought themselves capable of.  It could be running their first 5K, learning to ride a bike at the age of 59, or representing their country for the first time.

Sam’s coaching allows her the privilege of working with people of all abilities and with a wide range of interests.  Sam has helped people prepare for mountain and road marathons, long distance walks and challenge bike rides such as the Fred Whitton and TransAlps. However, just as important to Sam is helping people to find a new confidence in themselves by supporting them in the achievement of their individual goals whether they are grand or very modest.

Sam has a current half marathon PB of 1.28.55 and a marathon PB of 3:15:04.  She has also competed in triathlons including Ironman UK, mountain marathons, cycling time-trials and sportives. She represented GB for the first time in the 2008 World Age Group Duathlon Championships in Italy.

Sam is a qualified teacher with a specialism in outdoor education.  She has numerous Level 3 qualifications with the Register of Exercise Professionals including the YMCA Personal Trainer Award, Advance Gym Instructor, Advanced Stability Ball Instructor, Nutrition and Weight Management and Sports Conditioning Awards.  Sam is also a Level 3 UKAthletics coach.

Sam has developed a very successful business in West Cumbria specialising in running coaching, core conditioning and working with older adults.  Sam’s running classes attract over 100 people each week and her local races prove very popular.
